CITY MAYOR'S OFFICE

The City Mayor’s Office exercises general supervision and control over the public administration and civil affairs of the city; enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the governance of the city; and ensure the delivery of basic services to the constituents of Gingoog City.

MANDATE

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 7160, the Office of the Local Chief Executive is mandated to perform the following tasks: • Exercise general supervision and control over all programs, projects, services and activities of the LGU • Enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the governance of the LGU and the exercise of the appropriate corporate powers; • Ensure the delivery of basic services and the provision of adequate facilities.

VISION

A dynamic and responsive organization with responsible, committed, pro-active and innovative personnel equipped with the capabilities to generate and utilize a vast array of information and available resources to ensure excellence in the delivery of basic services and the exercise in general supervision and control over all programs, projects, services and activities of the LGU.

MISSION

The Office of the City Mayor shall be the central implementing authority of all ordinances and national law requiring local cooperation; the core coordinating center for all national, regional and local development efforts; and the administering and supervising body for programs and projects designed to improve enhance and maintain the social, economic, cultural and environmental aspect of Gingoognon’s way of life as aspirations.

Human Resource Management is very important in an organization as it establishes connection or relationship between the employees’ performance to the realization of the organization’s mandate, vision and mission as well as strategic directions.

The City Government of Gingoog were conferred with the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award thru Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 2100035 series of 2021 promulgated on January 13, 2021.

With the conferment of the award, the City Government of Gingoog has been granted with privileges such as authority to approve appointments, subject to post audit and exemption from the Section 96 of the 2012 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions wherein it states that agencies shall not fill up vacancies resulting from promotion until the promotional appointments have been approved/validated by the Commission.
