Mandate

  Pursuant to Section 41, of Republic Act No. 9593 Local Capabilities Enhancement. The Department shall develop support and training programs to enhance the capability of LGU’s to monitor and administer tourism activities, and enforce tourism laws, rules and regulations in the respective jurisdictions. Funding for such programs shall be shared equitably between the Department and the LGU’s concerned.

Vision

To have a healthy economic activity in the city by establishing and promoting gingoog city as one best eco/agri-tourism and adventure destination in the region.

Mission

To enhance the potential, emerging and existing eco-tourism and farm tourism spots in the city without destructing the environment and to effectively promote them.

Service Pledge

As your partner in the promotion and development of tourism that seeks to generate revenue, create jobs and livelihood for the Local and ensure the safe, enjoyable and convenient stay of foreign and domestic tourist in the city, we the officials and employees of the City Tourism Promotion Office, do commit to:
 

 1. Provide sincere and honest service to all clientele regardless of age, gender, nationality as well as cultural and religious orientation;

 
2. Render utmost care, urgency and propriety in addressing the needs of every individual and group that seek assistance from the Office;
 
3. Maintain decent and upright practices that demonstrate the qualities and ethical standards of good public service;
 
4. Act and resolve with promptness on complaints against irregular transactions, unclear rules and regulations, neglect in the performance of duties and responsibilities as well as unsatisfactory behaviour of officials and employees; and
 
5. Help uplift the morale of the tourism sector by strengthening access to information, service delivery and consultation between the Office and its publics towards good governance.
