Free Wi-Fi for All Program Implemented in the City
Present at the launching were Vice Mayor Tadoy Lugod, Councilor Evelyn Cañosa, Councilor Jerome Magan, Councilor Bebot Villahermosa, Councilor Rodrigande Miole, Councilor Anjun Gomez, Councilor Jacob Motoomull, SK Federation President Jonnel Clemeña, OIC Technical Operations Division Engr. Eugene C. Raposala III, DICT Provincial Officer Nideliza Fe O. Nacilla, Free WiFi For All Focal Person Engr. Michael Andrew E. Buot, ASDS Myron Gil Talosig, DEPED Gingoog personnel, City Administrator Dr. Enrique Guevarra, Tourism Officer Audie Ocampo, LGU employees, and other personnel.
The collaboration between the local government led by City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa and DICT X headed by RD Sittie Rahma V. Alawi continues to provide free Wi-Fi access in public places. This initiative is under RA 10929 or the Free Wi-Fi for All – Free Public Internet Access Program.
Through “FreeWifiForAll,” residents will have the opportunity for fast, free, and secure internet access. Additionally, it promotes the use of ICT to improve government services. It also aims to enhance accessibility and advance the digital economy in Gingoog.
